2013 1904 Block Shiraz
Baileys of Glenrowan is one of the pioneers of winemaking in North-East Victoria,
producing its first vintage in 1870. Since this time, Glenrowan has become a worldrenowned winemaking region. Baileys of Glenrowan continues to be recognised as an acclaimed producer of full-flavoured red and luscious fortified wines.
Bailey’s famed 1904 Block is one of the oldest vineyards in North-East Victoria. A gnarled
two acres, the vineyard is completely dry grown, resulting in fruit of rare flavour and
intensity. A true ‘reserve’ wine, the 2013 vintage marks the first release of the 1904 Block
in eight years. Hand tended from vine to bottle, and traditionally made including open
fermentation, pressing in our century old basket press, and extended maturation in new
and seasoned French oak.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
