The Founder series celebrates the story of Baileys, as our founder, Richard Bailey, brought his family to Australia in the 1850s. The family moved to North Eastern Victoria in the 1860s and Varley Bailey, Richard’s son, made the first Baileys wine in 1870. True to the region, Baileys of Glenrowan is recognised as a world-class producer of luscious fortified wines.
Caramel red in the glass, it features aromas of orange blossom, raisins, dried citrus peel and rose petals. Developing on the palate into a luscious wine full of fruit flavours and a careful balance of sweetness, acid, oak and alcohol.
After crushing and fermentation, individual parcels of Muscat were aged in various sized barrels of old oak. Our winemaker blended this wine from a selection of newer and aged stock to produce this fine fortified wine.
